In the event of a competitive conflict with another potential new member, the KBA will follow the below process for evaluating and voting on membership:

Application Process for Competing Businesses:

1. Competing businesses are allowed to begin application process at any time,
regardless of other competitive applicants.

2. Final membership vote on the competing businesses is taken after the membership committee has interviewed all candidates in a specific category and has decided that at least one candidate qualifies for membership.

3. Applicant receiving the most votes by membership committee will be admitted to the group.

KBA Attendance Requirements and Membership Responsibilities:

Attendance Requirements
Members, or a representative on behalf of the company, must attend at least 60% of all regularly scheduled meetings per MONTH. (Note: the Assigned Representative does NOT have to attend to count for this requirement; it could be another person of the Member's choosing, ex. Client, friend, etc..)  Members not meeting this requirement in any (2) consecutive monthly periods will be immediately placed on probationary status for the remainder of the year. Failure to meet the 60% attendance requirement in any month while on probation will result in immediate termination of membership and forfeiture of any dues paid year to date.  Terminated members will not be allowed to reapply for membership for 60 days.

Membership Responsibilities
Each year Members will be encouraged to participate in the various activities of the group.  These activities are defined as Project Committees, Presentations, Referrals, and 1-on-1's.
Project Committees - Groups of members assigned to address a certain project or task the group has decided to participate in (ex., planning the Christmas Party).  The Project Committee will make decisions regarding that project.  The Board reserves the right to disallow or reject any decision which might be inappropriate or not serving the best interests of the group.  Any financial requirement of the project must be submitted to the Board for approval.
Presentations - Each member of KBA is invited to give a 15 minute presentation of their business to the group.  A schedule of Presentations will be maintained by Board of Directors for reference.
Referrals - The group highly encourages each member to refer clients or prospects to one another to help each other grow their business as much as possible.
1-on-1's- Each member is encouraged to meet with other members individually outside of regular scheduled meetings to learn more about each others business.
